Juliana, Connor and Madelyn all participated in a Super Heros
Spotlight Summer Camp in July. The little ones were part of the yellow
group and had their own short show. Madelyn and Connor did great
remembering their lines and learning the dances. They had a blast all
week, particularly outside on water day! Connor made a new friend,
Russell, who was in 5th grade:) The kids all had to "audition" on the
first day to be assigned parts. Madelyn got 1 singing solo and 2
speaking parts. Connor got 3 speaking parts. And...Juliana got one of
the 3 LEADS in her show (in which she was in the youngest group!) She
(or more so I) was nervous about her having to learn such a big part in 4
days DURING tech week for Joseph! Basically, she went to camp 9-3 and
then had Joseph rehearsal 5-10! It didn't leave a lot of room for
practice, but one of her theater friends (also in Joseph with us) was
her leader and knew she could do it! She did great.
We love the Spotlight camps, and it was so fun to be able to see all 3 kids together!
I made a couple of treats for the teachers and kids to celebrate their super hero week:
I forgot to take a pic of mine, but it was just like this!
one of Julia
this was probably my favorite part of the show-I love watching Connor's face and body language:)
