The cast of Joseph did two numbers. Juliana also performed two numbers from Alice in Wonderland, including her Golden Afternoon song (minus one flower).
I got an email asking if she would like to perform a solo for the show. She decided to ask her friend, Maddie, to do a duet. She originally asked her about doing "For Good" from Wicked, but Maddie didn't already know the song, so with only a week to prepare, they decided to try to find something they both knew. They settled on "For the First Time in Forever" from Frozen. It turned out to be a much harder song than we thought (timing wise), but the girls did a good job with only one day of together practice and several Face Time practices! Everyone thought they were so cute 😊
Juliana also settled on singing "Naughty" from Matilda, the musical. It's such a fun song, and she has done pieces for auditions before. She was excited to perform the whole song. She did such an amazing job! I'm still amazed that she can get up on a stage by herself and sing in front of a big audience. So brave! (Though she did tell me that the #1 thing she wrote on a bucket list assignment for school was to "be on Broadway!") Way to go, Juliana!!
