Our family made a return visit (with Katie, Brian, Madelyn and Grandpa G) to Abbey Farms pumpkin Daze. The kids had A BLAST! They added some new stuff this year, too. We went on a hayride (and looked for the scarecrows hidden along the way), tried our hand at the corn maze (the kids kept leading us deeper and deeper in!), did the big bouncy slides, tried the rope maze and the new hill slides and then picked our own pumpkins! What a fun afternoon.
Connor was having fun just picking up the rocks and throwing them!
trying to "lasso" the bull
Connor liked making his "own paths" thru the actual corn...too bad everyone else couldn't fit!
On Columbus Day, the kids and I had off school, so we went to Blackberry Farm for a pumpkin weekend. We rode the train (many times of course), played at the playground, went on a hay ride and then decorated pumpkins.
As usual, we trick or treated a couple weeks before Halloween at Safety Town, but it was a bummer because none of our friends were able to make it after all. So we went alone. And, Connor decided that he didn't want to "drive" his fire truck or wear his hat or his air tank, so I ended up carrying it all and looking more like a fireman than him! Juliana was a rainbow fairy.
