The obvious choice for Juliana's 7th birthday theme was Frozen! She helped me plan a lot of the details for the party. It was a blast. Very loud and crazy, but everyone had a great time.
Here's the invitation:
The Decorations:
Turquoise, white and silver were the colors this year. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these colors:) We had lots and lots of snowflakes (on the floor, windows, hanging from the ceiling, etc) and glittery decorations! I thought it turned out beautiful.
Juliana helped me make a bunch of these gigantic snowflakes for the basement
She made this sign to welcome people:)
Movie quotes and coffee filter tree
Glittery letters (a HUGE pain to find all the right ones, but I ended up loving them!)
beautiful trees and snowflake picks from Hobby Lobby
the balloons
we wrapped the door with shiny turquoise paper and hung a glittery wreath
giant snowflakes marked the way

more snowflakes
more movie quotes
life size cardboard cutouts
birthday banner out of doilies
hanging glittery icicles
snowflake lights behind sheer glittery fabric plus a tulle skirt on the food table
Food:
I had fun planning for the food. We had all kinds of "frozen" treats. The kids, of course, loved all the sweets and the crock pot hot chocolate was a hit:)
Sven's Hot Chocolate (with snowmen marshmallows and whipped cream!)
Activities:
We planned lots of activities (this was Juliana's doing!) We had a snowflake bead keychain craft, building a snowman out of marshmallows, making a sugar cube ice castle, a song lyric scavenger hunt and a team build a snowman race.
trial of the sugar cube castle with Matilda a week early:)
Team Anna vs. Team Elsa...who can build a snowman the fastest!
Song Lyric Scavenger hunt
And...the photo booth....
The Special Visitor...
A half hour after the girls arrived, a special visitor was announced....Queen Elsa came to Juliana's party! The kids were mesmerized. Juliana appeared a bit shy and embarrassed, but it was her very favorite part of the party! She was totally surprised since we hadn't told her Elsa was coming (and she even asked if we could get someone to dress up as Elsa but I told her it was too expensive!)
Elsa told the kids a story, sang with them, played freeze dance, and posed for pictures & signed autographs. She even brought a little gift for each child...a sparkly snowflake straight from Arendelle! She was only here for 30 minutes, but it was so worth it! Thanks to Looking Glass Friends!

"Let it Go"
The Cake...
We saw a picture only of a snow globe cake. Somehow we managed to re-create it. I thought it was beautiful, and Juliana loved it too!
The favors:
Juliana helped me make snowflake favor bags. Inside were a Frozen word search, a turquoise glitter notebook, some stickers and a lip gloss.
Thanks to all our friends for helping make this day so special!
