Favorites:
Food: crackers, ice cream, pizza...pretty much anything! This guy LOVES to eat! (but not lunch or dinner because "lunch is gross. Dinner is gross. I want a SN-AAAACK!"
Toys: his firetruck, dump truck, excavator truck, ride-on-truck, anything that can turn into a tow truck...you get the picture! He loves trucks, all the time!
Books: Six Little Ducks (song), Little Quack's Bedtime, Going on a Bear Hunt, pretty much anything as long as HE chooses it!
Songs: ABCs, Happy Birthday
Things to do: go to the river with grandpa, ride bikes, play with sand, swing, play trucks, go swimming, eat!
Amazing Accomplishments:
-can pretty much count to 20, though he sometimes skips a number or 2:)
-knows about 10 letters consistently and a few more occasionally
-sings the days of the week and months of the year
-knows all his colors and basic shapes (and will correct you if you say it wrong)
-can help spell his name out loud
-draws a circle
-can name all different types of trucks (even excavator!)
-sometimes writes a crude "C"
-has a great memory
-HUGE vocabulary...this kids LOVES to talk!
-he can throw a ball really hard and far
-he can zip around on his hot wheel, Flinstone-style (using his feet) since he can't reach the pedals yet!
Things that drive us crazy:
-he wakes up WAY TOO EARLY! (sometimes as early as 4:30, but often around 5:45)
-he just lays in his bed for about an HOUR each night, babbling away!
-he fights with Juliana a lot
-he dumps everything into his truck as "garbage" and unloads it all around the house!
-he constantly dumps the sand OUT of the sand table and onto the deck...glad it keeps you busy and makes you laugh buddy, but I'm not buying a continuous supply of sand!
Too cute!
-how he lays in bed talking and singing...we can't give up the monitor because it is so cute!
-he lies down with his head on the floor when he plays with his trucks
-he has THE BEST smile ever
-"that's fine."
-he puts on a teeny tiny santa hat and drives his truck around!
-he drives his"garbage truck" all around the house!
-he gives great hugs and kisses
-he's really silly...he will show off in front of other people and spin on the floor or run around in circles...what a class clown!
-he insists on standing on the side of shopping carts like it's a garbage truck (though where he picked this us, I don't know...our garbage men don't DO this!)
-he has an infectious giggle that is the sweetest sound
-he is really loving
-he comes running in to wake me up everyday and snuggle
-he wishes he was a big kid and tries his hardest to keep up with the neighbors!
-"I'm not little, I'm big!"
-he's a great dancer!
-"Look at me, Mommy!" (of course, his ls all sound like ws now, so it really is "wook at me!"
-he has a vivid imagination and uses it to conjure up sharks (always up near the ceiling for some reason, bears, Preta (Katie's cat!), or just about anything else. "ooh, I see a shark up there!"
-I can't get enough of him making his shark "noise." It's pretty much a growl/grunt with his mouth closed that comes from his throat, but I think it's so funny!
-he has a shark bath towel and he loves to "get Juliana" by singing the Jaws theme song and chasing her
-He will make a great pouty face, cross his arms, growl and say "I'm mad."
-when he gets in trouble lately, he will say, "you yelled at me"
-He got a scooter, but doesn't quite get how it works, so he will stand on it with both feet, waiting for it to move and then will tell us, "It's not working, Mommy!"
Connor lives life to the fullest and expresses every emotion he has. I absolutely adore 2 year olds and hope he stays like this for a long time. He is such a sweet little guy and will always be my little buddy.
