Easter really snuck up on us this year, but we managed to squeeze in a few fun activities!
On Good Friday, Goddard school was closed, so we hosted an Easter egg hunt playdate with some friends. Maddy, Bella, Mia, Mason, Madelyn and her friend Scarlet. We enjoyed some yummy treats, and used Cool Whip and food coloring to dye a few eggs, but spent most of our time outside since it was a beautiful day! The kids had a blast searching for eggs hidden all over the yard. Then they all played on the swingset:)
Then on Saturday, our church held the first ever Egg Thing. There were tons of art activities, some good eats, and a big Easter egg hunt, divided up by age groups. The kids had a blast!
Easter morning, the kids woke up to find that the Easter Bunny HAD, in fact, come! They found a clue that led them on a scavenger hunt around the house to find their Easter baskets....in the washer and dryer! Connor's favorite part of his Easter basket was his umbrella! He walked around all day with it, and barely touched the rest of his basket! Later on, he discovered some other cool things like a truck matching game and some bathtub markers. Juliana got lots of different crafts and a cute Cinderella DVD with dance mat. She LOVES it and follows along with the dances! Joe and I told them that there was a special surprise somewhere in the house from us and they had to find it. In the basement, they found a whole bunch more Magna-Tiles! The kids enjoyed bunny pancakes as well that morning before heading to church with Brian, Katie, Madelyn and Grandma (Grandpa was still in Colorado skiing!) That afternoon, we hosted Easter dinner at our house. The kids were really silly all night. At one point, Connor and Madelyn were found in the living room with their hands covered in cottage cheese! They had stolen the tub from the fridge and gotten it open by themselves and were digging in! (I'll have to try to get a pic from Brian.)
