Juliana has been really wanting a cat for quite awhile. The problem is we thought she might be allergic to cats since for many years, her eyes would get puffy and watery and she would start sneezing almost immediately when visiting a house with dogs/cats. So I told her we could get allergy testing done to see if it was even a possibility. Her testing came back that she WAS medium-allergic to cats AND dogs. We thought it probably wasn't a good idea, but she really hasn't had any symptoms lately at all. She convinced us to give it a try. So....on August 18, we visited a local animal shelter on "Free the Shelters" day just to see.....and we came home with a 1 year old cat (they called him Sequoia, but we changed his name to Brody). Of course, we had NOTHING ready. But we made a quick trip to the store and got some essentials.
The kids have a love/hate relationship with him. He bites a lot, but it could be that they antagonize him to death! For the record, I've never been bit;) I would say he has calmed down a bit. Most of the time, he just wants to be part of the action. He's very opposite of most cats that way, lol! He also LOVES water....he comes running the second we turn on the shower or sink. He's also cleaned out our shower drain on multiple occasions for us!!!!
Overall, he's playful, cute, curious, and BUSY!
