Medevil Times
Joe has been saying for several years that he would like to try out Medevil Times, a medevil banquet and jousting tournament place nearby. We got tickets as part of his Father's Day gift, and got the chance to go right at the start of August. Despite a terrible storm on the way up and a LONG wait time before the show (they tell you to get there an hour early, but it was pure torture as there was nothing to do except wander among all the overly price souvenirs that the kids wanted!) The arena was really neat. We were given a colored crown (yellow) to wear and this represented the knight we were to cheer for. Each "team" had its own section of the arena. The seating reminded me of Hollywood Palms movie theater because there were long tables with chairs so everyone could eat and watch the show at the same time. The menu is set, and a whole banquet meal is served by "wenches." Neither child ate ANYTHING, but this was expected. The mean consisted of a tomato basil soup, roasted chicken, corn, potatoes, garlic bread and a pastry-type dessert. It was ok...maybe a little better than I expected. But it was fun! You had to eat everything with your hands:)
The show itself was spectacular! Connor was in complete AWE the whole time. I'm pretty sure he wanted to be out there with them! I think I spent 25% of the time trying to capture this on camera, with no luck. Even Juliana (who resisted going and thought it would be boring) enjoyed it immensely. She got a rose thrown to her when our knight won a fight:)

Fun! We'll have to take our kids! They'd probably eat everything. They love chicken with bones! Lol.
