Then Christmas Eve started with Christmas Tree waffles and red milk for breakfast. Then it was off to church after naps. During the church service, all the kids got to go down front for the message. One of our pastors played Away in a Manger on guitar and they discussed how it wasn't easy for Jesus in that manger, but he made sacrifices because he loves us and wants to be near us. The kids got to all be animals in the manger to signify how loud it would have been! Our kids were cows....MOOOOOO! Then we got glow sticks (as candles) for the singing of Silent Night. Then it was off to Grandma and Grandpa Giese's house for the traditional pizza dinner before opening presents. Juliana played Santa and passed out presents all night. Connor really enjoyed opening his presents, but stopped to appreciate each one for a long time before opening another. Madelyn wasn't so into it! What a wonderful Christmas full of lots of fun surprises.
Meeery crismas tanta!
Juliana's attempt at a picture...connor wanted no part of it!
When we got home, we sprinkled reindeer food on the lawn and put out the milk and cookies for Santa. Then it was off to bed! Mommy and Daddy worked very hard to move furniture around to make enough room for Santa to leave his presents! Christmas morning, the kids slept in!!! We finally woke Connor around 7:40 because Juliana couldn't wait anymore. Santa surely came! There was a BIG Barbie dollhouse for Juliana and a train table for Connor. Santa also came through on the garbage truck, Rapunzel sticker book and Hello Kitty dress, along with a Rapunzel, Flynn Rider and Maximus (horse) set! PLUS....there were all our family presents too! we were just BARELY able to fit ourselves into the room:) A Cinnamon roll Christmas tree and strawberry/banana candy canes made for a nice Christmas breakfast.
Merry Christmas! We hope all your wishes came true too.
