13 months

It seems funny to think that Connor is actually a full month past his first birthday since his party seemed like yesterday!  But, as I sat with my sister and cousin yesterday reflecting, I realized that he is, indeed, 13 months old.  I guess with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays surrounding his birthday, I never posted on how his 1 year doctor visit went either!  So here's a little update on our (not-so-little) man!

If I could sum Connor up in one word right now, it would be BUSY.

He is always on the go, whether it be crawling around, racing toward (or up) the stairs or into the bathroom (to unroll all the toilet paper!), or taking his first steps-he is up to about 4 steps at a time now!

He can be entertained for quite awhile by just the simplest things.  He loves to take things out of containers and put them back in.  Fascinating!  Peek-a-boo is his favorite game for sure.  He has discovered many more cabinets and drawers, and we have to follow him around putting things away that he has taken out!

His big obsession, though, is balloons!  This is his newest word.  Connor's version sounds more like "baa-ooo," but he is absolutely sure what he is saying:)  He must say it 200 times a day!!!!  (sometimes in the middle of the night, I keep hearing it!)  If he walks into a room where his balloon is "supposed to be," he will look around for it and then say balloon?  Unfortunately for him, his sister has decided that his balloons (which clearly say "1st birthday!") are really hers.  Poor Connor.  Nothing is really ever yours :(

 I found a new hiding spot, squeezed between the couch and the chair...I couldn't really get out though!
