The Polar Express

Last night Juliana and I boarded the Polar Express to the North Pole!  While we waited at Santa Station for our trolley, Juliana was able to write another letter to Santa, color some pictures and get pictures taken.  Once we boarded the trolley, the conductor read aloud The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg.  We heard wolves out in the distance as we raced northward.  As we neared the North Pole, we caught a glimpse of Rudolph's bright red nose out in the woods.  Once we arrived, we were greeted with twinkling lights and a real live reindeer (Dancer).  Mrs. Claus and an elf helped us unload and welcomed us to the North Pole!  There was a roaring bonfire to warm up to, a tent where Santa was taking a break from all his pre-Christmas activities to pose for pictures and listen to children's wishlists, and even a heated tent with freshly baked (by Mrs. Claus, of course!) cookies and hot cocoa.  Santa even had a special gift for all who truly believed! We could stay as long as wanted and then just hop back on the next trolley.  On the way back, we drank our hot cocoa and sang carols!  It was a magical time and we can't wait to make the trip again next year:)
