Connor is 7 months old

Connor is 7 months old, which officially puts him on the downhill slide toward being one!  His latest interests are FOOD, splashing in the tub, dropping things, squealing and grabbing anything and everything. He thinks it's very funny when we do an exaggerated (loud) yawn.  He loves to play peek-a-boo too:)  He dislikes swimming (at least he's not so keen on it yet), peas, and being on his stomach. He still doesn't roll over much, but seems more interested in trying to move by making swimming motions and scooting while on his stomach.  He has no problem reaching for things while sitting and can transfer objects from one hand to the other (and to his mouth!).  He seems to be working more on the "pincer grasp" instead of raking things up with his whole hand.  He's also tried to imitate waving several times, although the motion is small and I'm sure he doesn't know what it means!  He has tried a sippy cup, but is still working on that.  He's also working on standing while holding on to things (he has the strength but not quite the balance yet!) He definitely recognizes his own name and is starting to show recognition for several other words as well (Mommy, Daddy, Juliana, ball, etc).  His TV obsession continues, although now he has branched out to being fascinated by the remote control (just like Juliana was at this stage). As he moves on to bigger and more exciting toys and interest, we find ourselves putting away (or rather giving away!) many of Connor's "baby" things.  It's sad knowing that WE won't ever have a chance to use them again. Time just goes so quickly!  I look at baby Madelyn and am amazed at how much of a difference 6/7 months can make!
